Cristiano Ronaldo Mother Claims Son Will Return To Sporting Lisbon Next Season

Cristiano Ronaldo's mother has said she will "convince" her son to return to Sporting Lisbon next season amid speculation about the Portuguese's future.

The 36-year-old has been in good form for Juventus this season, scoring 28 goals in 32 Serie A appearances for Andrea Pirlo's side, but his future is doubtful with just one season to go before his contract expires at the Old Lady.

Juventus are at risk of missing out on a chance to qualify for next season’s Champions League as they are currently fifth in Serie A with just two games left.

In a video taken by a fan at a street party, Dolores, Ronaldo's mother, said: "I want to go to Turin and talk to him. Next year he will play in Alvalada, I assure him and he will come back."

Ronaldo went through an academy system at Sporting Lisbon and made 31 major appearances for the Portuguese, moving to Manchester United in 2003.

The determined striker joined Juventus in 2018, scoring 100 goals and scoring 22 assists for the club.
