EFCC Arrests Six Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Enugu

Six suspected Yahoo boys were arrested by agents of the Enugu District Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, May 24.

A statement from Vehicle Control Agency spokesman Wilson Oujarin named the suspects Tochukwu Okoro, Okechukwu Ejechie,Nwankwo Okeke, Edeh Emmanuel, Emeka Chukwunonso and Kenechukwu Ekunie.

He said they were arrested in Brix Estate, Independence Lyot, Enugu, based on reliable intelligence on their alleged criminal activities.

According to the statement, a Toyota Camry was found bearing registration number YAB 418 AZ from Tochukwu Okoro while other incriminating materials including laptops and cell phones were found from other suspects.

He said that the accused will be tried before the court once the investigation is over.
