FG to arraign 400 suspects arrested for funding Boko Haram and bandits

The 400 suspects arrested on charges of financing Boko Haram insurgents and bandits will soon be tried by the Federal Government.

The suspects were arrested in Kano, Borno, Abuja, Lagos, Sokoto, Adamawa, Kaduna and Zamfara after an operation coordinated by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Department of Public Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU). and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

A spokesman for the federation’s Attorney General (AGF), Umar Gwandu, told reporters on Monday, May 3, that criminal charges related to terrorism were already being prepared against suspects, which would begin as soon as possible.
