Tragedy As Husband Crushes Wife To Death In Abuja

The FCT police command arrested a man named Makanhuola Ayedun for killing his wife, Ms Nike Ayedun, with a car after an altercation.

The incident took place in Gwagwalada, Abuja on Friday, May 14, 2021 at around 22:00.

According to SaharaReporters, Ayedun's wife, Nika, an employee of the World Bank's Asokoro office in Abuja, was crushed by her husband while reversing his car.

As it turned out, due to the speed, the car passed without a rail and hit a building where some things were destroyed.

It turned out that Ayedun was trying to escape when he realized he had killed his wife, blaming the incident on the brakes not working.

However, according to one source, this is not a coincidence.

According to a source close to the family, the man has always physically assaulted his wife.

“The whole issue started after Nike found out that the safe she had taken to save money for her son, who was demanding a big birthday, had been broken by her husband. Then he confronted her about it. In this way the land began to beat him.

“After beating the hell out of the house, he picked up his phone so he couldn’t call anyone. The man went outside and started his car's engine as he descended to open the door. Nike ran to the gate demanding his phone. The husband said he would crush her and she, not knowing what was happening, knocked her down with full force while the man was reversing the car, ”the source said.

The deceased is said to have had two sons.

She is also said to be the breadwinner of the family and her husband is not employed.

According to the report, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), a non-governmental organization, has expressed interest in the case.

Meanwhile, the case was transferred from Gwagwalada Police Command to Fujian Police Command, Garki, to Abuja.
