Abraham Linked With Aston Villa Return

Chelsea could return exiled Tammy Abraham to Aston Villa with a “creamy and angry” striker.

Abraham has been without a profit since Thomas Tuxel took on Frank Lampard in January and Villa Park’s match was on the map.

The 23-year-old has not played for the Blues since February and was not even in the squad for Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

He doesn’t appear in Tuxel’s plans and his place in Gareth Southgate’s Euro squad is clearly in jeopardy given the lack of playing time.

According to the Birmingham Mail, his former club Villa are considering the situation ahead of a summer transfer.

Ibrahimovic has scored 26 goals in 40 games for Villa, helping the club return to the Premier League in the 2018-19 season.

It is said that he will continue to have several fans at Villa Park with Dean Smith as he targets those who intensify the attack at the end of the campaign.

The Chelsea academy product has scored 12 goals in 30 appearances for the Blues this season.

But the six-cap star was pushed aside by Tuxel, who revealed Abraham’s anger and frustration with the situation.

He said after Saturday’s win over Wembley (1-0): “Everyone is worried when he’s not on the team, but for me it’s never an easy decision to make.

“I have a lot of sympathy for him and I can understand that he is worried and sad and maybe angry with me when I make these decisions.

“Sometimes we spend almost an hour talking after the last training which decisions to take and which players we have to leave at home because it’s thin margins which decide.

“Tammy has had this decision now a few times against him which is never personal but this is life at Chelsea sometimes as a player.

“I hope that he does not get lost in too many thoughts because he knows not to be too concerned about his situation.

“Everything he can do is stay focused and stay with belief because the situation for a striker can change in minutes. We have an important training coming up and my decisions are not made yet.”
