Actress Akuapem Poloo convicted over nude photoshoot with her son
Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown aka Akuapem Poloo was convicted of posting nude photos of her with her 7-year-old son.
The actress, who shared her nude photos with her son on social media on June 30, 2020, was charged with three counts of posting obscene material and engaging in domestic violence, a behavior that in any way undermines another person’s privacy, integrity and participation. In domestic violence, any behavior that in any way detracts or is likely to detract from another person’s dignity and human worth.
Akuapem pleaded “not guilty” when she was first brought to court but changed her “guilty” when she was re-arrested on Wednesday 14 April. She was then convicted by her honor, Christiana Kahn of Accra Circuit Court based on her confession.
Murtala Inusah, court correspondent for the EIB network, reported that the court had postponed her sentence to Friday 16 April for undergoing a pregnancy test in compliance with the law in relation to a woman who pleaded guilty in court.
