Nigeria better together, Tinubu urges agitators of secession

Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressive Congress, called on the affected regions that are demanding secession to bypass the idea because the country is better off seceding.

The former governor of Lagos State, Tinubu, addressed a special Ramadan prayer in a Tafsir speech at his Lagos House in Marina on Sunday.

He said war drums hit by some people would lead to the disintegration of a country like Sudan and Iraq.

He said the country was still recovering from the effects of the civil war and the country was unable to cope with another war.

“For clamouring for war, God will not allow war to break out in Nigeria. If we say Nigeria must be separated, people must remember what kind of war there was in Sudan and Iraq. Such a war will not end in time. We have not yet escaped the civil war.”

“We’re better. I have nowhere to go. Whoever has experienced war in the past will not pray for it. Nigeria is inseparable, which is not good for us. Our prayer is for the country to wish prosperity and more wealth, ”he said.
